How To Prepare?

The theme of this Italy packing list is “You will walk a lot.” Every day of your Italian vacation will be a scrambled version of this:

-Gather your camera, jacket, money, passport, and snacks into your day bag.
-Pack one nicer outfit for evenings out
-2 pair of pants, shorts, or skirts 4 tops; three short sleeve, some long sleeve
-1 light jacket or wrap 1 pair solid walking shoes
-1 nicer dress or dress shirt 3 pair of socks Hat Small daypack that’s comfortable to carry
-Anti-Nausea meds (if you’re prone to motion sickness, you’ll be on and off of boats daily)

-Reusable water bottle, don’t add plastic trash to the garbage
-Sunglasses Camera (trust me, you’re going to want to take pictures)
-A street map of Venice, yes really, Google’s little blue dot on the map leaps around like a frog and is hopelessly lost much of the time
-A scarf or shawl

Itinerary

Day 1 - Rome

Arrive in Rome
Relax for sometime

Then Head out to explore Rome in the evening
It’s hard to beat Italy’s capital city. One of our tips for traveling to Italy alone is to map out a little afternoon walking tour for yourself. To hit the iconic sites, start at Piazza Venezia and walk to both Piazza Navona and the Pantheon, before ending at the Trevi Fountain.

Day 2 - Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill Priority Tickets

Get into the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, and Roman Forum in central Rome through the fast track entrance with a combined package. Enjoy a hassle-free experience at your own pace. Marvel at the remains of some of the greatest monuments of the Roman Republic.

Day 3 - Rome-Florence

Climb The Spanish Steps

You have probably seen the Spanish Steps in a movie or two! They are another famous landmark in Rome you should see during your trip. There are 135 steps so bring your walking shoes!

Then head to Florence by Train

Day 4 - Cinque Terre Day Trip With Hike And Lunch

Marvel at the houses built on steep cliffs overlooking the Ligurian Sea

Day 5 - Day Trip To Pisa And Wine Tasting

Visit 2 authentic wineries in the beautiful Chianti Hills on this half-day tour from Florence. Meet local winemakers, walk through stunning vineyards, and sample local wines and products.

Day 7 - Traditional Cafés And Pastry Shops Walking Tour

Discover all the six Sestieri (neighborhoods) of Venice and satisfy your sweet tooth on this tasty tour. Walk over dozens of picturesque bridges powered by espresso, delicious pastries, ice creams and tiramisu.

Stop in local bakeries and taste top quality pastries in historical cafés featuring ornate baroque mirrors. Be mesmerized by traditional cream puffs and biscuits and try fresh Italian espresso.
